Welcome!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I am a novice at this and am going WAY out of my comfort zone to publish my thoughts, projects and ...

Read

Confession: since subscribing to Netflix my hours spent reading are few and far between. I love reading and I miss it! One of my favourite things to do in the summer is to devour books in a single sitting while gazing over a lake. I've included my favourite past reads, both for fun and for education, as well as my current title. I'm hoping this space will get my nose away from Netflix and back into some good novels. I invite you to read along and leave comments on what you thought of the book!

Harry Potter
With the arrival of the newest Harry Potter book, I decided to finally finish the original series. I'm 1/2 way through reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. You can get your copy here. While I am loving this book it is taking me FOREVER to finish. Did any one else have this problem? Maybe I'm not flipping the pages as quickly because I've already seen the movie!

I need more Potter!
I finished it and it was amazing and I feel like I want to read it all over again! If you haven't read the Harry Potter series yet; you should. 9 more days until the new book arrives!

Twilight Reimagined
Here is my next read; teen angst anyone? You can get your copy of Life and Death here. A complete junk food for the brain book for the summer. Stephenie Meyer received a great deal of flak for her former heroine, Bella, being a damsel in distress. This anniversary book promises to prove that Bella's weakness was not a "damsel" flaw, but rather a human one.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
It's here! It's here! You can get your ver own copy online at indigo here. Thanks to Indigo for the bonus cute HP tote! I haven't been lucky enough to jump over to London to see the show live but I'm sure it will be on my bucket list once I'm done reading the book. Hopefully they will make it into a movie for those of us short on Air Miles. If you have seen the play or read the book please comment below, but use Spoiler Alerts.
